Twinkle Khanna Recalls When An Auto Driver Showed Her Butcher’s Knife; Says, ‘Now You Know Why My First Book Had Rickshaw On The Cover’
Twinkle Khanna was spotted enjoying a rickshaw ride with her daughter Nitara as she recalled a scary experience
Bollywood actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna often takes to her social media to share stories and experiences she has faced in her life. Her fans are always quick to react and share their experiences as well. Recently, she took to her official social media handle to open up about a confusing yet scary experience she went through while travelling in an auto.
Sharing a video of her enjoying a rickshaw ride along with her daughter Nitara, with the background music of Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey’s ‘Babu Samjho Ishare’, she wrote on the video, “Some things don’t change. As a teenager my friends used to call me ‘Rickshaw Rani’ and I guess old habits die hard.” ALSO READ: THROWBACK! Recalling a ride, she revealed that she had started a conversation with an auto driver one day, by asking him how many years had he driven the rickshaw. He went on to open up about his life by telling her that while doing embroidery work, he had saved up money and bought seven gold biscuits. He further continued that while six were used during his daughter’s wedding, he still has one hidden in his home. After getting off the auto, when Twinkle jokingly tells him to not tell people about the biscuit as they might come to murder him, he “rather manically and in a hackneyed manner replied, “Ma ka doodh piya hai, let someone try, I will cut his throat.” Which was all well and good, Bollywood influences and all I thought, till he pulled out a butcher’s knife from under his seat and said, “See this! Today, there were no knives and this turned out to be an unexpected but great end to my last day in town as the little one and I giggled all the way back home.”
For the unversed, Twinkle Khanna got married to Akshay Kumar in 2001. Today they are proud parents of two – son Aarav and daughter Nitara. The actress, who recently celebrated her birthday, had quit acting to focus on her family. She had then ventured into writing books. She has written Mrs Funnybones (2015), The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad (2017) and Pyjamas Are Forgiving, a book that will be released next year.
